This patch works very nicely, *however*, it would be wonderful if you could 
specify that you want to bring up the GUI in 'daemon' mode, and that it be used 
on subsequent sync attempts.

So, basically, I'd like the best of both worlds (yeah, I know, picky picky #:)),
where a currently running GUI session (in 'daemon' mode) would recognize when
ttymon signaled it that a sync was requested from the pilot side, and just 'do 
the right thing'...

Anyway, maybe an RFE for a later release.  Thanks for all the hard work Alan, 
Bharat, and all the contributors.
