Well, thanks for the answer on the failed .prc.  But have
a few more questions:

Part 1
1) does SyncTime sync date as well?
2) My Pilot's time is 1/2/97 6:13am; even after SyncTime'ing again.
   I see no errors anywhere obvious.

Part 2
What is the most graceful way to sync my CM after a reload from
my Backup image which about 1 week old?

I successfully loaded the backup image.  I then SyncCM'ed it with
my desktop and some of my desktop CM entries are removed (that
shouldn't have been).
