alternate calendar managers for solaris 2.5.1

I just begged MIS to upgrade me to Solaris and I discovered that it is 2.5.1.
(MIS says they have major problems with 2.6 and aren't ready to deploy it.)

So I am still without a CM I can sync with, and no hope in sight in the
forseeable future. What else do people use? Has anyone managed to sync with
the emacs calendar? Are there alternate X or text based calendars available
for free?
