Ok, I'm officially an idiot. In my previous note I said the eeprom setting,
"tty[ab]-ignore-cd" had to be set to false. I was wrong, it needs to be
set to true. You want the system to ignore the carrier detect signal. That
way, you don't need a carrier detect signal to talk to a device. So take
my last note and which the true and false words.
