Installation problems on Linux ...

Hi everyone ...

During the last 24 hours I tried to install the Pilot Manager on
my Linux System (Kernel 2.0.33 ELF) ...

First I downloaded the three packages from the website ...
(Basic package, Tk, and the other binary package ...)
and installed 'em via unpacking the archives...

Then I wanted to start PilotManager, but I got an error that sould
not be there: something like 

        You do not have the correct binary of the Tk module
        installed in either your PilotManager distribution or your
        perl installation.

        Please read README.porting for information about how to
        download and install this module.

Gee, I tried to reinstall the Tk-package in the /usr/lib/perl5 
directory but that didnot help ...

so I read the README.porting and followed the instructions ...

I reinstalled perl 5.003 (5.004_4 wasnot compiled properly on
may system ...) and built the pilot-link-module, the PDA::Pilot -module,
the Tk-Module, Data::Dumper module and some conduit-modules ...

Now everything works fine except the PDA::Pilot module ...
perl -e "use PDA::Pilot" (and since this package is
needed by PilotManager, the Setup-script and PilotManager)
stops with the following error:

Can't load '/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/i586-linux/auto/PDA/Pilot/Pilot.so'
for module PDA::Pilot: File not found at /usr/lib/perl5/DynaLoader.pm
line 140.

 at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/PDA/Pilot.pm line 82
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at -e line 1.

Ooops, but Pilot.so really exists and can be read by everyone ...
And I built it exactly like the instructions ...

Hmmm, now I don't know what to do ...

Perhaps someone out there can be some sort of help to me ...
