I know this is usually an internal Sun discussion group, but I had a
more general question:
Who do you have to speak with at Sun to get this Pilot Manager released
as a real Sun Product. We'd buy the program in a minute. Free doesn't
mean much to our group. If it doens't work 99.9% of the time, it's of
limited value. Right now, it's free, it works, there's nothing better,
so we use it.
You probably know Qualcomm licensed the PalmOS to make a wireless PDA.
If the product is successful, it may be difficult for Sun to stay
competitive. I'm sure it will Sync up with an NT box. With the limited
amount of office automation software available for workstations, if our
CAD software didn't work so well, this Ultra 30, creator 3D whatever
would go right in the trash.
Anyway - who should I right to at Sun to get Alan $20k and two weeks off
(or whatever it takes) to finish all the conduits and get the product
ready to sell. You can respond direct to avoid clutter the mailing list
with junk.
Thanks
Dan Naughton
