Missing manifest file?

Can someone please explain to me the message;

"Missing manifest file.  Please delete by hand."

I've noticed in the Memo portion of my data, that I now have four copies of a 
memo.  All copies have the same title, but are apparently different vintage 
updates of the same document.  The full sync log is shown below.  I presume the 
error message is a clue on how to correct this problem.
