? Sync from multiple locations

Does this create any problems (i.e., dups, etc.)?

1) sync my pilot from my own desktop using the cradle
2) sync it later from a friend's desktop using his cradle;
   but using my own pref's (in homedir).

Is there anything specific about the local (Sun) host
I'm connecting thru?
