SyncMemo Not Syncing Pilot

I'm a hardware type guy, so all this is  to me.  I successfully loaded all the 
programs (which for me, is a great feat in itself).  Everything was working 
fine.  I added a few text files into the SyncMemo file and they downloaded just 
fine.  This morning, I couldn't edit one of the files on my PP.  I synced my PP 
and these files turned into mush on my PP.  Since then, I've not been able to 
load any text files into my PP.  I even wiped out all the files and reloaded 
everything on my workstation.  It appears that the PP is getting updated as I 
see this message while syncing:	

synchronizing using Syncmemo conduit
Update Pilot: Personal/Phonelist.txt

However, Phonelist.txt does not show up on my pilot.

any ideas?
