I had the same problem. You probably have to send it in
to 3Com to get the insides of your Pilot replaced (for free if under
warantee). That is what I had to do. It only took
5 days in total, they will send you a shipping box
that you send back with your Pilot.
The other thing they had me do over the phone (while
I talked to their technician( is pop-out and back
in the chip-board in the back. That did not work
for me, and it is kind of tricky so call them before you
try it on your own.
