Pilot-JavaCal Sync

Folks,

I need to display my Pilot Calendar data within a Java-based
calendar on my home page. I'd like the Java applet to be able
to offer alternate views (Day, Week, Month) and seek to a
particular date. Read-only is fine - users don't need to be
able to add or update entries (one-way "sync").

Ideally I want to be able to put my Pilot in the cradle,
hit the sync button, and have the info immediately available
  to the Java applet.

Has anyone built this kind of interface?

Oh, one other thing. It sure would be nice to add an additional
flag in the "detail" section of the Pilot calendar entry dialogue
which specifies a "category". That way, my "personal" calendar
entries could be filtered out of the Java applet view. Any
thoughts on how I can do that? A special character in the
description would work, but is there a better way?

Thanks!
