Problem with Duplicates

I'm experiencing two problems:

   1. I sometimes change a record on my pilot; following the 
      next synch, I get the old record *plus* a new/updated copy.
   2. I occasionally get duplicate records (usually of a 
      repeating event.
      
      + I have the "remove duplicates" function turned *on*
      + Using PilotManager  v1.105
      + Using SynchCM  v1.100_2

Q: would using "reset SyncCM" help????
   any other suggestions???
