Help - stops at 3/3/98?

After some mess in my CM (duplicates etc.), I decided to clear out the file
by deleting it and starting with a fresh one. 

When I sync (i.e. load) from my Pilot, all goes fine: events are added up
until 3/3/98. Then I get a lot of messages "Unable to add appointment
......." I've tried serveral times, and this seems to be repeatable.

Any ideas how I get past it?
