I am still dead in the water on this problem. Does anyone have a suggestion?
As I mentioned in my first posting, I apparently corrupted data when I tried to
do a SyncCM and my calendar server was not working. I am starting to think that
the corrupted data includes data within PilotMgr, not just in the PalmPilot.
I have done the following to trouble shoot this:
1) Totally reset the PalmPilot, then try to download only my calendar.
PilotMgr halts at "Retrieving User Information".
2) Took the PalmPilot home and did a resync from my home PC. I have the
Franklin Covey PalmPilot software. Everything worked fine. Conclusion, problem
is not in the PalmPilot.
3) Brought the PalmPilot back in and tried to resync my PalmPilot calendar
using PilotMgr. Same failure mode again; halts at "Retrieving User
Information".
4) Borrowed a known good cradle and cable. Tried to resync my PalmPilot
calendar using PilotMgr. Same failure mode again; halts at "Retrieving User
Information". PalmPilot eventually times out after halting with screen saying
"Identifying User". There are no error messages on my host session Run screen
to help troubleshoot this.
Conclusion, problem is not in the PalmPilot cradle or cable. Problem is
probably also not in the Sparc10 hardware or setup. When I press the sync
button on the PalmPilot, PilotMgr does respond with the message "Connected".
At this point the only solution I can think of is to delete the full set of
PilotMgr software from my system and try to reload it. Or is there some way to
do a reset of the PilotMgr data, if it is perhaps corrupted?
