You probably also have on eof the latest ld.so patches installed.
I have this problem at home too.
The workaround is:
env LD_NOVERSION=1 PilotManager
(i.e., set the env var LD_NOVERSION to 1 when running pilotmgr)
This disables the version checking on libraries.
