} When the Serial Port Permissions don't allow access to PI_BIND (assume
} /dev/ttyb):

} Run commands as root:

} 1. chmod 666 /dev/ttyb
} 2. chown root /dev/ttyb
} 3. chgrp sys /dev/ttyb
I'm with you to here.
} 4. touch /reconfigure
} 5. reboot
These last two steps should be completely unnecessary; what do you think
they accomplish? (Not that you're wrong; I just don't understand,
so you might be, or I might be dense.)
