Yep, that's true. While I've spent a lot of time working on the
application synch aspect of PilotManager, most of the core
features like install and backup of databases are readily
available through the pilot-link toolkit. The advantage of
PilotManager is that it wraps this functionality into an
easy-to-use (albeit occasionally-crashing) interface.
The main man for pilot-link is Kenneth Albanowski who has
labored tirelessly to keep his communication package up to
