Faded screen

This is not a pilotmgr problem, but I thought someone else might
have seen this problem. I've got me email in to the pilot support
alias, but I'm not holding my breath on a timely response.
I bought a Pilot 5000 in November. I noticed that the
screen was getting fainter recently but initially attributed
that to lighting in my office.
Last night, it started getting fainter and fainter and fainter.
By this morning I can just barely tell there is anything on
the screen at all. Batteries are new.
Ever seen (or starting to not see :-) this?
