PilotManager Conduit List
Bundled PilotManager Conduits
These conduits come with PilotManager:
- SyncCM (Bharat Mediratta) (instructions)
SyncCM allows you to synchronize your Pilot Datebook with your Openwin
or CDE calendar manager. It can handle all types of appointments that
can be created on Calendar Manager, and most of the repeating
appointments that can be created on the Pilot.
- SyncMemo (Alan Harder) (instructions)
SyncMemo synchronizes text files on your workstation with memos on your
Pilot. These files are kept in a SyncMemo area on your filesystem with
a directory for each Memo category. New/updates files in these directories
get copied to the pilot and new/updates memos in the pilot Memopad app get
copied to the filesystem.
- Backup (Bharat Mediratta) (instructions)
Backup lets you archive any Pilot database on your workstation,
painlessly. It is mildly intelligent about not backing up the
databases if they haven't changed (but only mildly)
- Installer (Bharat Mediratta) (instructions)
Installer lets you painlessly install new databases and applications
onto your pilot.
- SyncTime (Alan Harder)
Keep your clocks in sync with SyncTime. Sets the pilot time/date to that
of your workstation at regular intervals (daily, weekly, monthly).
- SyncAB (Alan Harder)
Synchronize your address book. Supports CSV format and has partial
support for vCards (designed to work with Solaris 7 address mgr).
- SyncFood (Alan Harder)
Conduit to sync your restaurant database between the pilot and your
workstation. Get the pilot Food app and unix tool
here, or in the contrib/
directory in the PilotManager distribution.
- SyncPlan (Kenneth Albanowski / Alan Harder)
Synchronize the pilot datebook with
plan,
a calendar package by Thomas Driemeyer.
- SendMail (Andy Poggio)
Sends outgoing mail from the Palm's outbox via sendmail on the desktop.
Separately-Distributed PilotManager Conduits
The following conduits were written by users and are distributed
separately from PilotManager. If you know of others, please write. Note that some of these conduits
haven't been updated in years and may not be compatible with
PilotManager 1.108. Status is unknown unless noted otherwise.
- SyncBBDB
(Thomas DeWeese)
Synchronize address data with the BBDB address book for Emacs. I
(Aaron Kaplan) am actively maintaining this conduit as of
5/2005, but I haven't folded it into PilotManager because
they are released under different licenses. Warning: the
sourceforge project name is syncbbdb2; there is another,
unrelated project called syncbbdb.
- SyncAB+BBDB
(Aldo Valente)
Another tool for synchronizing with BBDB. This one is only
unidirectional; I recommend using SyncBBDB instead.
- SyncToDo
(Derek Pizzagoni)
Synchronize todo list. Also includes a desktop tool for editing todo list.
- SyncMail
(Mark Giles)
Import incoming mail from an mbox file or an IMAP server; send
outgoing mail using sendmail or an SMTP server.
- SyncMidi
(Ralf Schlatterbeck)
Use MIDI sounds from the net for your datebook alarm.
- PopSync
(Jim Baughman) [Link broken; please email
if you have news]
Sync mail from any POP server.
- SyncXml conduits (Norman Walsh)
Sync the builtin databases (calendar, address, todo, memo) with XML
files. If you browse the PilotManager CVS repository you might notice
that Norm has checked SyncXML into it; however, since he hasn't
replied to repeated email about it (late 2004 and early 2005), and I
have no idea what the status of the code is, I'm not including it in
the PilotManager distribution. Please write if you have more info.
- EditXMLAB
(Sergey Gribov) is a GUI editor for the XML
addressbook created by SyncXmlAB.
