Not true!

I upgraded from Palm Professional to Palm Vx and was able to sync my new 
Palm, even "restored" my old Palm Pro data onto my Palm Vx. I did it 
running Solaris 2.7.  I've since upgraded to Solaris 2.8 and again no 
problem with syncing.

There have been many discussions on this list about what is required.
I think someone should document this and post it on the moshpit website.
